Change your project’s PHP version from Settings. You need the Admin or Developer role in the workspace to change the runtime.

  1. Open the runtime setting

    • From the dashboard, open the workspace and select your project.
    • Click Settings in the project sidebar.
    • Find Runtime in the Instance section.

  2. Select a PHP version

    • Choose a version compatible with your WordPress plugins, themes, and custom code.
    • The change saves automatically when you select a runtime. A notification confirms Updated runtime.

  3. Check your site

    • Test the site’s main pages, WordPress admin, and any critical plugin features.
    • Check Logs in the project sidebar for errors.

Before changing versions, create a backup. If you need to switch back, select the previous runtime under Settings → Instance → Runtime, provided it is still available.
