Restore a completed backup from the project’s Backups page. You need the Admin or Developer role in the workspace to restore backups.

Restoring replaces the project’s current files and database with the selected backup. Save any newer data you need before proceeding; you can use Create Backup and wait for it to finish before restoring an older backup.

  1. Open the backup list

    • From the dashboard, open the workspace and select your project.
    • Click Backups in the project sidebar.
  2. Choose a completed backup

    • Find the backup by its date and time.
    • Click its Restore icon. This action is available once the backup has completed.
  3. Review and confirm

    • The Restore Backup dialog explains that maintenance mode will make the website unavailable during restoration.
    • If the backup used a different runtime, the dialog shows the runtime that will be restored.
    • Optionally turn on Wait for requests to drain before restoring to let existing requests finish before restoration begins.
    • Click Restore to begin.
  4. Check progress and verify the site

    • Stay on Backups to see status updates such as Restoring • Queued, Restoring • Requests Draining, or Restoring • In Progress.
    • When restoration finishes, the backup returns to its normal display. Open your site and check its content and functionality.
    • If the page shows Restore failed, it also indicates that an engineer has been notified to investigate.
